Tusla Inspection Requirements

There are 21 policies, procedures and statements required for all early childhood services under Regulation 10 of the Early Years Regulations 2016. Under Regulation 6, services must also have a Safety Statement before they can register with Tusla.

As a key part of your quality standards and processes, it is essential that your policies and procedures suit the context of your early childhood service. It is also important that you embed your policies and procedures within your everyday practice were appropriate and that all staff have a high awareness of the rationale and processes of implementing each adopted policy.
