Meantóir programmes are underpinned by the principles and objectives of quality and regulatory frameworks – however, they are designed and delivered in a practical, common sense style that enables Educators and Managers to make real and sustainable changes and improvements to everyday practice. We provide you with practical tools that will streamline your work and provide clarity where confusion and overthinking have taken over!
To maintain quality practice standards, our programmes promote consistency of approach across your entire team and will help you prioritise the aspects of your practice that will lead to best outcomes for young children.
What are the Delivery Options?
We now offer CPD in three delivery formats to suit the varying needs of educators and service providers:
1. Online programmes through our e-CPD online platform www.earlyedcpd.ie
2. Group training seminars
3. In-house training
You can access a growing range of programmes on our e-CPD platform.
Go to the platform at www.earlyedcpd.ie and register your name and email address and you will be able to purchase a programme of your choice. A full overview of programme content is available to help you choose. You can then complete your programme in your own time and on completion, you will receive a certificate of participation to your registered email address.
To facilitate learners of all abilities and styles, online presentations have voice audio narration on presentation slides.
Online programmes contain supporting downloadable handouts which will be retained in your personal e-CPD profile on the platform. A copy of your personal Meantóir training profile is recorded, including programme name, duration and date completed.
During the year we have courses advertised to take place in various locations across the country. Just keep an eye on our Facebook page here to see what happening.
Network Deliveries: If you are an organisation such as a City/County Childcare Committee, Child and Family Resource Centre or Local Partnership, we can deliver CPD seminars for your members in a location of your choice.
If you have 16-22 participants, we can come to your service and deliver a tailor made programme. You can choose what component of Meantóir programme content that suits our team best or where you have identified a specific training need.
One to One Mentoring
In the event of having a specific area of practice that you would like to address immediately and personally (maybe following an inspection or significant staff turnover); an individual support plan can be put in place for a series of mentoring visits to address the practice in question. A quality improvement report is provided following this type of intervention. See our Mentoring package options here
